Here is what I love.
I used this phrase with great intentionality.
Here: Right now, in this moment. Here. Because love and life are not about what happened yesterday. They aren’t about some possible future. We are always only here. And this moment is the only one in which we have an opportunity to live and love. To say “Here is what I love” is to make a commitment to the practice of being present. Whatever situation we find ourselves in, whoever wanders across our path, there is a way of living with that situation or that person from a stance of love. I don’t always live up to that ideal, but it is ever the intention that I set before me.
I’m also saying “Here, take a look at what I love!” Shower some attention on it. When we give something our attention, we give it our love. This planet is full of amazing beauty, and some of it won’t be around forever. As human beings, we are here to love and wonder at the world around us. Everything I love is here.
